Medical and Prescription Coverage - SFI offers employees three medical plans options through CareFirst BlueCross / BlueShield. With the largest provider network in the Washington, DC-metro area, quality care is just around the corner.  All medical plans include prescription drug coverage, and pediatric dental and vision coverage. 

Dental Coverage – Quality dental care is just a phone call away using CareFirst’s extensive dental provider network.  Our plan includes in- and out-of-network options.

Retirement Savings Plan - SFI offers a retirement savings plan with tax advantages, generous company contributions, and a variety of investment options.

Basic Life Insurance - Employees receive basic life fully paid by SFI.

Short Term Disability - If an employee is disabled (beyond an elimination period) because of injury or illness, the employee is eligible to receive a weekly benefit. This benefit is fully paid by SFI.

Long Term Disability - If an employee is disabled (beyond the short term disability period) due to a covered injury or illness, the employee is eligible to receive a monthly benefit.  This benefit is fully paid by SFI.

Paid Time Off (PTO) & Holiday Leave - Employees begin accruing paid time off annually at SFI.  Additionally, we observe ten (10) paid holidays per calendar year.

Employee Assistance Program – SFI provides an EAP program for the use of both our employees and their dependents at no cost.  Resources aimed at helping employees and their dependents in a variety of areas such as: counseling, crisis intervention, research & referral, training, and financial & legal assistance.
