IT Services Firm Will Invest $6 Million in National Landing
ARLINGTON, VA — Governor Abigail Spanberger today announced that Spatial Front, Inc. — a privately held information technologies firm — will relocate its corporate headquarters to Arlington, creating 450 new jobs in Virginia through a $6 million investment. Founded in 2008 and previously headquartered in Bethesda, Maryland, Spatial Front provides mission-critical IT and professional services primarily to U.S. federal agencies with core capabilities in geospatial technologies, AI and machine learning, systems integration, digital modernization, cloud services, and IT operations and maintenance.
“As Governor, I am proud that Spatial Front is moving its headquarters to Arlington,” said Governor Abigail Spanberger. “The decision to relocate and bring hundreds of high-quality jobs to the Commonwealth reaffirms Virginia’s status as the nation’s premier location for defense and technology innovation. The Virginia Economic Development Partnership worked with Arlington County to secure the project for Virginia. Governor Spanberger approved a $500,000 grant from the Commonwealth’s Opportunity Fund to assist Arlington with the project. Funding and services to support the company’s employee training activities will be provided through the Virginia Jobs Investment Program.

Bethesda, MD – Spatial Front, Inc (SFI) announced today that it was awarded a $346 Million contract for Managing Army’s Human Capital - Innovation, Integration, and Implementation (MAHC III) program. IPPS-A is the Army’s integrated human resources and payroll system that unifies personnel and pay processes and serves more than 1.1 million users that span across Active, Reserve, and National Guard Components. Under this contract, SFI will provide a single, comprehensive, cost-effective solution that leverages innovative approaches to maintain and modernize the IPPS-A, using cutting-edge technologies and streamlined processes to enhance mission readiness and operational efficiency.
